Chignin


Grape variety : Jacquère.
A wine typically Savoyard that allies both depth and freshness. Often mineral with an aroma of hazelnuts and flint the wine has a flavour both light and smooth.
Serve at 12°C.
Best drunk within its year of vintage thus retaining its freshness.

Chignin "Anne de la Biguerne"


Grape variety : Jacquère.
Made from grapes grown on old vines with a long fermentation and regular stirring of the lees. This is a wine both full and complex. Aromas of white flowers and fruits with a round minerality on the palate.
Serve at 14°C.

 

Chignin Bergeron "Les Damoiselles"


Grape variety : Bergeron.
Aromas of apricots and white peaches. A taste full and fruity that is typical of the grape variety.
Serve at 14°C.

 

 

Chignin Bergeron "Vieilles Vignes"


Grape variety : Bergeron.
The best grapes are selected during 2 or 3 passes during the picking. Matured for 4 months on its lees with regular stirring.
A full aroma, slightly smoky, with a hint of dried fruit, leads to a complex taste, full and powerful.
Serve at 14°C.
Will keep from 4 to 6 years

Chignin Bergeron "Comme Avant"


Grape variety : Bergeron.
Why "comme avant" (like before)? These grapes are collected on the third passage of picking and are allowed to "ripen" for one year in barrels or casks. Our forebears let time take its course.....and now we do the same, "like before".
Hints of quince and honey with a powerful finish.
Will keep for 5 to 10 years

Roussette"Anne-Sophie"


Grape variety : Altesse.
This variety, typical of Savoy, is converted into wine for 2/3 in tank and 1/3 in barrels. This vintage is raised during 10 months on dregs, to leave him the time to bloom.
The meaning nose, the mineral and round mouth confer him a beautiful capacity to wait some years.
Apéritifs, fishes and dry cheeses.

Mondeuse


Grape variety : Mondeuse.
Aromas of either red fruits or spices as the wine develops. but with an astringency that is typical of the grape variety.
Serve at 16°C.
Will keep from 2 to 5 years.

Mondeuse "Elisa"


Grape variety : Mondeuse.
Selected grapes are matured for one year in barrels or large casks to soften the tannins. The wine is bottled in the September following its picking and not released for sale for a further six months after that. It is a complex and powerful wine that fully reflects the grape variety and the finesse of the wine making process.
Will keep from 5 to 10 years.

Vendanges tardives "Le Bergeron d' Elisa"


Grape variety : Bergeron.
This wine is only produced in the years of the best vintages. Not released for sale until the wine has matured for one year in casks and six months in the bottle. The wine develops a strong bouquet of fruit (apricots...) and is very rich on the palate.
Will keep from 5 to 10 years.

Gamay

 


Grape variety: Gamay
Very drinkable and Fruity.Issue du Cépage Gamay.

 

Rosé "Sous la Tonnelle"


Summertime with this Rosé issued from Gamay and Pinot.
To taste freshly... under the arbour...

 

Méthode Traditionnelle "Entre Amis"


In White, this wine is an assemblage of Jacquère and Chardonnay. In Rosé, of vines Pinot and Gamay.


They are both matured for 9 months "sur lattes" and will be perfect with your favorite times.

 

Awards :

The Domaine has been awarded numerous medals over many years at the Concours Général Agricole, and has received citations in many different wine guides (Guide Hachette, Revue des Vins de France, Cuisine et Vin de France etc.)

The greatest award was gained in 2006 with the Prix d'Excellence Paris 2006, where only 12 winemakers are selected from the whole of France for to compete for this award, and a "Coup de Coeur" in the 2007 edition of the Guide Hachette.
